Railway Repairs K.L.N. Inc. is a company specialized in the construction, maintenance of railroads, and the sale of railway equipment. It aims to become the reference in Quebec for railroad construction and maintenance and to be a key player in the transition to green transportation. Since its foundation, it has distinguished itself from its competition by offering a service adapted to the specific needs of each client. Réparations Ferroviaires K.L.N. inc. is a contractor accredited by Canadian National. In addition to meeting all the requirements of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and the Commission de la construction du Québec, all work is carried out in accordance with the standards and norms of the Circulars on Standardized Methods (CMN) of Canadian National and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (AREMA). It serves clients of private railways such as CN, QGRY, Arcelor Mittal, Rio Tinto, and public railways such as MTQ.

Our history (in numbers)

1995

Creation of the company by the co-founders Karl and Léger Arsenault. With Léger's expertise in welding, the main niche of the company was to do arc welding for industrial clients.
1998

Rémi Lalancette, former employee of Canadian National, joined Rail Repairs K.L.N. Inc to continue his career in the railway industry. With his experience and knowledge, the company began to offer more services to industrial clients such as track maintenance and new track construction.
1998

The first major contract obtained by the company was the construction of a new road at the client Ciment Québec.
1999

The company specializes in several new services, including aluminothermic welding, a process used to fuse two rails, the installation of gantry crane rails, and the resurfacing and leveling of railway tracks.
2009

2009 The company began offering services for railways such as Quebec-Gatineau Railway, Quebec Ministry of Transport, and others.
2012

Purchase of a used shunting locomotive for refurbishment.
2014

Start of projects for the rental of the industrial locomotive and mechanical road services.
2020

The rapidly growing company prompts the early development of a new department, Human Resources.
